A chartered engineer who joined AMRC/Cymru in 2018 after spending 10 years in Scotland as a Director for a leading exporter of engineering solutions to the energy sector.

Jason graduated from Sheffield University with a honours degree in mechanical engineering (awarded the IMechE prize for outstanding work) and a masters degree in business management. Immediately after his degree studies, he worked for Professor Keith Ridgway (who founded the AMRC) before embarking on a career as a senior engineer on design projects for some of the largest marine, oil & gas and nuclear projects around the globe (working extensively in the USA, Central America, Europe and Africa).

Jason and Andrew Silcox (AMRC/Cymru co-director) have recruited a highly talented and skilled team. This team will support Welsh manufacturing businesses across a diverse range of sectors in a drive to make ‘High Value’ the norm. Jason is incredibly excited by the challenges ahead.

When working as a Director in Scotland, Jason also worked for 7yrs as a volunteer for  Medicinema at the Children’s hospital in Glasgow. Jason also loves sport – he is a keen cyclist and he competed nationally and internationally in martial arts.
