Simone Lowthe-Thomas is CEO of Severn Wye Energy Agency, a not for profit charity working across Wales and the border counties for over 20 years to support the energy transition, eradicate fuel poverty and build resilient communities. 

Severn Wye’s approach is to Act Now for the Future by working locally, in partnership with communities and across the public and private sector to co-produce sustainable solutions for environmental and social challenges.

Simone has over 25 years of experience in the sustainable energy and environmental sector, specialising in community energy projects and community engagement. 

Simone is Vice-President for Citizen Engagement of the European Federation of Energy Agencies, Fedarene and was a founding board member of Community Energy Wales. She is currently a UK board member and Chair of the Wales Funding Committee at the National Lottery Community Fund.
