Eluned is an energetic cultural leader, and a multi-lingual communicator, with international arts strategy expertise. As the Head of Wales Arts International at Arts Council of Wales, Eluned spearheaded the Horizonspartnership and WOMEX13 in Cardiff and more recently Arts Infopoint UK. She advises Welsh Government on international cultural policy and has led various international cultural missions to India, Japan, China and the EU. By profession Eluned is a trained digital broadcast journalist who worked for Reuters, BBC Wales and Boomerang TV amongst others. As a multi-lingual press officer for the European Greens / EFA Group in the European Parliament, she campaigned for the Kyoto Protocol and developed the cultural agenda of the UN Summit in Johannesburg in 2002. This experience paved the way for Wales to be the first nation to introduce a cultural goal as part of our Sustainable Development plans and global commitments within the pioneering Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.
