I lead the Welsh Government team in Japan – with a focus on investment (60 Japanese companies have operations in Wales), trade support and, increasingly since the 2019 Rugby World Cup, building public awareness and regional links. On trade, significant opportunities for Welsh companies in Japan include green energy, problem-solving innovative technology and food and drink.
