Heyn van Rooyen joined DIT in January 2021 as Regional Market Entry Advisor Southern Africa.

He is South African born and studied at the University of Pretoria (UP) and the University of South Africa (UNISA). His professional career spans nineteen years at senior and executive level in the South African health insurance industry preceded by sixteen years in the South African Diplomatic Corps, with assignments in the United States (Washington DC), Canada (Montreal) and Portugal (Lisbon).
