Born and educated in the UK, Michael arrived in Italy in 1974 where he worked in sales for an Italian steel valve company before joining the Milan office of an American based multinational supplying the oil, gas, petrochemical and energy sectors throughout the world. From 1982 until retiring 2011 he was employed by UK Trade & Investment at the British Consulate General in Milan, as a Trade Adviser, Head of Unit for Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, Climate Change and the Environment. A fluent Italian speaker, since 2011 Michael has been acting as a freelance consultant assisting British companies to enter Italy and Italian companies to access the UK market. 

Michael has been helping Kinetic Cubed clients from Wales and Canada to understand the Italian markets since 2014.
