HM Land Registry

Putting Our People First

HM Land Registry is a non-ministerial civil service department that plays a key role in the UK’s economy and underpins the UK property market, ensuring all land transactions are recorded accurately and that a trust exists in the market place. HMLR employs over 4,000 staff across 14 different sites, with only one based in Wales at Swansea, employing over 700 staff. Prior to the pandemic, the organisation had never offered home working to more than a small number of individuals . Eighteen months later, the organisation is supporting and enabling home working for its staff, save for a few critical services that require an on-site presence, and are preparing for a hybrid working model post pandemic. HMLR recognises that it’s staff are their greatest asset and has adapted to new methods of working, enabling staff to work from home to support both the needs of our staff and our customers.
