Mary-Ann McKibben

Mary-Ann is a Consultant in Public Health with Public Health Wales leading the organisation’s healthy settings work including the health and work agenda and the employer focused Healthy Working Wales programme.  Before joining Public Health Wales in December 2018, she led a government programme in New Zealand developing multi-agency responses to improve health, education and employment outcomes for young people.

Prior to New Zealand, Mary-Ann was a Consultant in Public Health for NHS Wiltshire with responsibility for alcohol and drugs, offender health, community safety, and mental health and wellbeing.  Mary-Ann undertook public health training in the South West of England after spending 7 years as Assistant Director of the national charity Alcohol Concern leading the charity’s policy and public affairs activities.  Mary-Ann is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and was the 2018 co-recipient of the New Zealand Public Health Association Public Health Champion Award.
