NRW Nature and Us branded header, what future do we want for our natural environment. Register today for one of our national events. Have your say, complete the Nature and Us survey. Sponsored by Welsh Government

Nature and Us involves the people of Wales in a national conversation about the natural environment. The aim is to develop a shared vision for the year 2050 and consider the changes we need to make leading up to 2030 and 2050, as individuals and as a country.

Nature and Us wants to encourage people to think about the environment they would like to see in the future – and leave behind for future generations. We want to know how people feel about nature and how they would like society’s relationship with nature to change. We also want to help people think about the changes we all can adopt ourselves to protect nature and the environment.

Launched on 17th February and lasting for 10 weeks, people across Wales had the opportunity to complete a Nature and Us survey, join interactive webinars, and volunteer for online focus groups. A series of stakeholder workshops were also held in March and April. The Share my Vision page, where you can share messages, poetry, images and videos, remains live on this website.

The team behind Nature and Us has reviewed the findings of the national conversation and prepared two documents that explain the way which the project was undertaken and provide a detailed report on the findings of the national conversation. These reports can be downloaded here:

Natural Resources Wales is facilitating the national conversation. We are the principal adviser to the Welsh Government about issues relating to the environment and its natural resources in Wales, within the local, national, and global context. We want to hear from the people of Wales about their views on the future of our natural environment, so we can help to amplify your views, and build a shared vision for Wales.
