Breaking the Bias – International Women’s Day 2022

On Tuesday 8th March, the Welsh Government brought together a panel of inspirational women with a strong connection to Wales. Women who have made an international impact throughout their careers and broken the bias to gain success.

The event was opened by the Minister for Social Justice, Jane Hutt MS who voiced our ambitions to build a gender equal Wales, a Wales where women, men and non-binary people are treated equally and fairly in all aspects of their lives.

Shereen Williams MBE, Chief Executive of the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales and community activist chaired a discussion with our panellists about their lived experience, exploring a range of challenges, barriers and bias they faced during their exceptional careers.

Thank you for taking part, listening to their stories and being inspired to #BreakTheBias.
